Fazenda Cachoeira is located in Brazil's renowned Cerrado Mineiro region, the country's first coffee-growing area to receive a protected Designation of Origin. Situated between 1,045 and 1,100 metres above sea level, the farm benefits from warm days, cool nights, and a distinct dry season that creates ideal conditions for producing high-quality coffee. These seasonal patterns allow cherries to ripen evenly and dry consistently, contributing to the sweetness, balance, and clarity found in the cup.

The farm has been cultivated by the Barbosa family for generations, with a long-term focus on quality, innovation, and responsible land stewardship. Today, varieties including Red Catuaí and Yellow Catuaí are grown across the estate, with careful harvesting and processing methods designed to highlight the unique characteristics of the region.

Fazenda Cachoeira gained international recognition in 2021 when a natural-processed Yellow Catuaí lot won the Brazil Cup of Excellence, achieving a score of over 90.5 points and placing the farm among the country's most celebrated specialty coffee producers. While awards are impressive, what stands out most is the farm's consistency — year after year producing coffees that showcase the richness, sweetness, and approachability that have made Brazilian coffees favourites among roasters and coffee drinkers alike.

This coffee is a reflection of generations of experience, meticulous attention to detail, and the exceptional growing conditions of the Cerrado Mineiro.
